Wedding Ring Trends: Floral Halos, Colors

During the recent annual Jewelry Week in Las Vegas, several wedding ring trends caught the eye of trend watchers. Wimmer’s Diamonds is always in tune with the latest trends, along with a wide selection of more classic styles in stones, bands and settings.

Here are several current wedding ring trends:

Rose Gold

Several new bridal jewelry collections feature rose gold (also called pink or strawberry gold). Look for it as an accent to white gold and platinum and in vintage-inspired styles.

Floral Halos

A few years ago, we saw the halo, then double halo. Now, it’s a floral halo. Diamonds are set in a floral-like shape around the center stone and down the shanks in a very feminine yet striking design.

Color in Stones, Golds

If you or your fiancée-to-be prefers to wear something different than their friends’ bridal jewelry sets, choose color. Some rings have colors in center and/or side stones, as well as in the actual tone of the gold.

Oxidized Metals

Blackened metals have migrated over to the bridal jewelry cases in rings with oxidation and/or black rhodium. The blackened metals can also add impact to colorless diamonds or jazz up brownish or black jewels. The look can be youthful and edge or distinctly vintage.
