Randy Wimmer
Randy started at Wimmer's at 14, in the engraving and janitorial departments. He impressed the bosses enough to take over as co-owner in 1975. Randy is a graduate gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America and a certified gemologist through the American Gem Society, and served on the Independent Jewelers Organization's board of directors from 2001 to 2003. He and his wife Robyn have two sons, Gabriel and Josh, and a cat, Medora. A retired Air Force colonel, Randy says of Wimmer's: "We are blessed to be in an economically vibrant community—our staff and our customers are stimulating, and it's exciting to weave the threads of our lives with theirs." |
Nancy Brenk
Nancy is a sales associate and a certified gemologist appraiser through the American Gem Society and a graduate gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America, and has been with Wimmer's since 1994. She and her husband Paul have two sons, Eric and Ian, who keep her busy watching hockey, hockey, and more hockey. |
Corey Washburn
Corey, a sales associate, has been with Wimmer's since 2004, but in the jewelry business since 1995. He says he's single but still hopeful—but not desperate. Music lovers, take heed—Corey has been known to serenade his coworkers at a moment's notice. |
Brenda Meyer
Goldsmith and bench jeweler Brenda has been in the industry since 1979 and with Wimmer's since 1981. She is GIA-trained in advanced stone setting and diamond grading. Brenda and her husband Don have a daughter, Meghan, and a son Isaac, as well as Tootsie, their chihuahua. Brenda says her coworkers at Wimmer's are great—but of course, she spends most of her time tucked away in the shop, so you'll have to find out for yourself. |
Paul Christianson
The seventh son from a family of nine sons and one daughter, Paul started at Wimmer's in 1990. You can find him downstairs, working on the jewelry bench, or outdoors hunting, shooting, and fishing. He and his wife Sheila have two sons, Bennett and Brett, and a daughter, Claire. Paul loves the design and technical challenges he encounters every day, so bring your jewelry problems on, baby. |
Megan Scilley
Megan has been with Wimmer’s for the past 1 ½ years and handles our mail, keeps the stores clean and does just about anything else that needs to get done around the store. She is currently enrolled at Minnesota State University at Moorhead working towards a degree in Special Education or Speech Language Pathology. Megan is a huge movie buff and also has a tortoise named George Michael. |
